Things I Learnt In September

A few days into October, I am collecting my thoughts on all the things I learned in September. The month of seasonal change.
1) Love Your Friends.
I spent a LOT of times with my loved ones this summer and I don't regret it at all. Quality time is so significant. BUT! The keyword is quality.
2) You Can Do Anything You Put Your Mind To.
At some point in August, I booked my driving theory test.
By September though, I had decided against it as I just wanted to spend the last days of summer enjoying life with the squad. Naturally, I postponed cancelling until I logged in 3 days before the exam and found out it was too late. If I wanted to cancel now, I wouldn't get my refund. -_-
I like my shmoney so (after processing the deepness of the situation for roughly 30 hours) I put my mind towards doing the test.
By the time I really started preparing, I had just 48 hours to go until my exam time.
I found 2 useful websites and banged out all kinds of practise. Between Monday and Wednesday, I got 6 hours of sleep.
But it was worth it because I PASSED!
The most important part was overcoming the fear that I wouldn't pass, and putting my trust in God. With that done, I was feeling all kinds of peace.
3) You May Never Be Ready. Jump Anyway.
This kind of relates to the story above and how most people would have thought I needed at least a month etc of preparation.
Truth is, with some things, you just can't be 100% ready. That's the story for university. I only fully accepted that I would be attending university a day or two after moving into my new home. Nothing else I did before coming, no more hours at home would have made me more ready; I had to just do it.
4) Be Objective.
One too many deep car conversations had me thinking about life. How many things I take an interest in
and
the fact that they cannot all be mastered simultaneously.
So, the answer is simple.
Find a focus. And focus on it. Other things can be subordinate, but focus.
Whatever you do, do it well. Work towards goals and actually put the work in.
Stop holding onto your seed. Sow it so you may reap.
That's it! These are the 4 biggest things September taught me. I could write more, but it would get repetitive and blah blah
Thank you for reading,
