Twenty-One in Twenty-One Days

Hey family SO I'm 21 in 21 days

I'm going to make a conscious effort to leave all negativity about that fact out of this post lol. Let's not succumb to the social construct that tells me 21 is old.

(can you tell this is a coping strategy)

So as I near my 21st birthday, instead of getting anxious about things and dwelling in a negative mindspace, I will be noting every single thing that comes to my mind. All the "I wish's" and the "I should have's" and "What if's" that will inevitably come will not haunt me. I'm turning that into positive energy baby. So, when a thought comes to mind, I'm going to journal it, rationalise it (e.g is this something I care about or am I just overthinking), then, if it's something I actually care about- set a plan to actualise it. That's a big tip for you all if you're ever getting overwhelmed about things you have to do, or more importantly, if you're getting anxiety about things you "should be doing" and "should have done", start writing. Laying your thoughts out visually can be so useful for you.

As the year comes to an end, a lot of people often experience the anxiety I mentioned. The year's "running out" so you start thinking of all the things you said you wanted to accomplish, and how 2017 would be your year, and how much the year banged for your peers etc etc To make up for it, you start planning all the things you're going to start in 2018. You're pep talking yourself saying you're going to level up, and you've got this. You feel better about yourself for making your resolution list and that's fine, but what about the 4 weeks left of this year?

Where is that same energy now? If it were the 4 weeks of June, you'd still be making goals. If it were the end of January, you'd be wondering what you could accomplish by the beginning of March.

It's the end of the year: so what? God isn't sleeping so neither should your goals.

If you have me on Snapchat, you may have seen my recent post about how many great things God did in the life of not only myself, but my friends too. That was last week, the 48th week of the year. How many of you would be happy if I told you the blessing you want in 2018 is coming, but in the 48th week? It sounds long right? But at the end of the day, when it comes, you won't be complaining, I promise. God can still work for you and through you in these last weeks of the year. Genesis 13:15 (because you know I like to back up my point with the Word lol)- all the land you see, I will give to you, aka if you can dream it you can acheive it. So dream big in these last weeks and put in work. Weight loss, dropping a new project, even revision.. don't count the days out, make them count.

Remember, He crowns the year with victory. (Psalm 65)

Love and stuff Bolu Noelle
