Things You Should Do Before The New Year

Hey family
So we are two weeks away from the first day of 2018
While we're all normally heavily focused on what we are going to do as the new year comes, I think we should give some attention to the time we have remaining. So, here's some things you should do before the new year:
1) Focus on Unfinished Projects: At some point in the last three hundred and fifty something days, you may have thought of a project you could start or a hobby you wanted to take a step further.. and maybe you've remembered it and post-poned the realisation of that plan til 2018, perhaps you've forgotten about it all together- why not start now? Draw up an extensive plan with action points of how you plan to bring your project to life in 2018.
2) Be Grateful:
Through all the things that tried to kill you this year, you survived! And now you're a smarter or stronger individual than you were 12 months ago. Things may not have gone your way, but they rarely will. Recall from my first Life Lessons post that we sometimes desire to be mentally stronger and forget that we have to go through things to get us there. Be grateful for the good times you've spent with people, the bad times which showed you things you needed to change about yourself, or people you had to let go of, the friendships gained, strengthened and lost, the jobs gained and lost. Some times, these losses simply mean you are growing and that there is something better in store for you. With that in mind, don't keep trying to force friendships with people you've grown out of. There doesn't have to be beef, but you don't have to have them in your life. Re; lost jobs- you may be overqualified for the job you keep trying to go back to. Focus on how you can level up and don't wallow in the loss. Nothing that was thrown at you this year was too much for you.
3) Start Habits Now: From body goals to financial plans, what's the point waiting 14 days to start? You can make and save money in 14 days, you can change your muscle/fat composition in 14 days- don't discount time. In fact, with daily goals such as exercising etc it's better to start slowly now, and up your game when the new year hits instead of trying to do 0-100 over night and failing by Jan 21st x
(yes, the x was petty)
4) Spend Time: The festive season is probably the season where most people have more time off work and school, so it's a good time to catch up with friends you haven't been able to meet the whole year, spend quality time with your immediate and extended family. Like, I'm not moist, but really, spend time with people you love. Don't just assume people know how much they mean to you.
5) Cleanse: -Take a break from social media. Bare in mind how many hours you spend daily on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat looking into other people's lives. The reality is that these platforms can leave us feeling ever so slightly less satisfied with our own lives because, whether you like it or not, you may be subconsciously comparing yourself to what you see. How much money someone has, what present they got, how 'good-looking' they are, even what they ate on Christmas day. Keeping off socials during Christmas might be a struggle, so maybe try taking a break over the next week
-Mind cleanse: fast a bit from music about hoes and drugs maybe. Perhaps finish a book you've started reading this year. Fast spiritually if you're religious, pray over the next year and this one with thanks.
Don't come and feel convicted by anything in this post. Really and truly do what you want and enjoy the season lol
Either way, I hope you end the year with jokes, happiness and laughter.

Love for reading,
And thank you to everyone who's been showing love and sharing recently♡
